Laura's b-day card!

This is my sister's b-day card, just popped it in the mail today, hopefully it gets to her before the 6th. This is a Stamping bella stamp, My Mind's Eye paper, and prismacolor pencils. The colors are so much prettier in person, I'm wondering if something is wrong with the scanner! May have to start taking photos instead.

Glitter Ritz

I put some Ranger glossy accents inside these trees, then sprinkled with different colors of glitter ritz. ( One at a time). I'm glad to see the glitter sticks well with the glossy accents, not only the sookwang tape. My friend Joanna, gave me a very similar card for xmas, so I totally copied the idea from her! Hi Joanna!!!

Mom & Dad's Christmas card

I used this image from the SU! set Holy Tryptych. I used prismacolor pencils to color in, distressed the edges and sponged with close to cocoa ink. The sentiment is by Cornish Heritage Farms. I'm happy with how this turned out, very pretty.

3 Trees by Sunshine Designs

Wow, didn't realize how crooked this scan was but I'm too lazy to redo it! I love this stamp by Sunshine Designs, my friend Joanna gave it to me last year. I painted them in with Key Lime and heavenly bamboo twinkling h20's after embossing them with gold powder.

More teacher's gifts

I made these little milk cartons and filled them with specialty coffee and hot chocolate for the teachers at Charlotte's school that have been helping her so much! They loved them. I bought this tutorial online from Inking Idaho LAST Christmas, and am finally getting around to making them. And they look harder than they are. Stamps are by Stampin Up!, some paper by SU! and the blue boxes are Colorful Christmas by My Mind's Eye. Ribbon is SU! too.

How cute is this??

I made this little box for one of my daughter's teachers. It has 4 3x3 note cards (or could be used as gift tags) and 3 hershey's nuggets chocolates in the center. I think I'll make a few more of these. I found the tutorial on Inking Idaho for the dimensions and some samples. The snowflakes are from Spellbinders and I used some glitter ritz on them. Patterned paper is My Mind's Eye.

6 x 12 layout

One of the assignments for the magazine was to create a 6 x 12 layout. It was fun, and I hope to be able to find an album someday that would fit this. This is a photo of the girls last year on Christmas morning. First thing they do is open their stockings.

Minty Coffee

Doesn't this look yummy right now? It could be coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider........ Anyhow this is one of the Christmas cards that is published this month in Canadian Scrapbooker.

I won a contest!!! Guest Designer for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine

I can finally post my layouts that I made for the December issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine. I was so lucky to win a spot (a contest from Scraptivity) as Guest Designer for both Dec and March issues. Now that it is in the stores, I can show the layouts I did. Here's one from the cruise we took last year, it's all 7 Gypsies paper. I made the flowers on my Slice.

And one more...

My Mind's Eye blog challenge

My Mind's Eye did a blog challenge with a sketch last week, and this is what I did with it. I love to work with sketches, it's so much easier. I just bought Pagemaps last week by Becky Fleck. It is awesome and I totally credit it as the reason I got so many layouts done at the crop last weekend!

Sandspit amusesment park

Here's a glimpse of all the fun we had in Sandspit this summer. It was a beautiful evening, no crowds and the kids were very adventurous. Even convinced Claire to go on the roller coaster with me-but once was enough, she didn't want to go again!

Fudge, our hamster

Here's our cutie, fudge. Still alive and doing well and he's 2 months old ( I heard they have a short life span!). Anyhow, love these american crafts puffy stickers, the mushroom and hedgehog are by Sassafras. Claire asked me why I had a hedgehog on the layout- I said it was the closest thing I could find to a hamster! Tough crowd!

Santa's sleigh

This stamp is by Impression Obsession, and is lots of fun to color, and add sparkle to. It looks so much brighter in person, guess I could take a photo but the scanner is so easy! Anyhow, I'm going to a scrapbook crop this weekend, so I should have some layouts to share when I get back!

Branch out

I've used this stamp set for spring cards, but I think it is just as pretty as a winter card. I used the SU! white gel pen to add the snow to the tire swing and the branches. A good winter card, not just for Christmas.

Dasher

This looks so much better in real life. I have red and gold stickles in his antlers, and he's embossed in gold.

Cards from the Stamp-a-Stack yesterday

Bellarific Friday- anything winter

Finally, I have completed a Bellarific Friday challenge again! Here, I used minty coffee which I just love, and colored with my prismacolor pencils. All the paper is retired SU! except for the artichoke.

Serene Snowflakes

I saw a sample similar to this one on Splitcoaststampers, so when I saw the color combo I had to try it. The ink is Bermuda Blue, and Chocolate chip (SU!). Such a simple card but so pretty. I think this may be one of the 10 cards we do for my xmas class in a couple weeks.

Serendipity stamps!!

These guys are so darn cute!!! There's lots of stickles on them so irl they glitter! Used prismacolor pencils and the striped paper is from My Mind's Eye, Christmas line.

Prima stamp

Here is the other stamp that is part of the Scraptivity kit. I embossed it with black versafine, then embossed with Stampendous disco black embossing powder. The white paper is embossed with a flower template that was also part of the kit. The cardstock this month was co'ordinations, so when I sanded the black paper with a sanding block, the yellow showed right through. Too cool!

Christmas Eve '08

More from the kit! The circles are made with a square prima stamp, inked in red then green, and circle punched. The kit was full of all kinds of little accents, like the clothes pin, and the tiny watch face just above the title.

A few photos of downtown Halifax. Again, this layout was made with supplies from the Nov. Scraptivity kit.

I'm on a roll.........

Another card I made today, lots of birthdays and anniversary's are coming up this month. This is a flower by Sunshine Designs. I used twinkling H2O's to color it in. Basic Grey pp and Su! cardstock.

So cute!

I made this card to put into my craft sale as well since I'm making baby blankets, people will need cards for gifts right? Anyone, this is a retired Stampin Up! wheel that I colored in with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

Witch's Brew anyone??

I made a Halloween card last night for World Cardmaking Day, and there is NO STAMPING on this card!! It's all rubons! I'm participating in a craft show on October 17th and am trying to make some cards, and finish sewing baby blankets and aprons!! And make chocolate Halloween suckers. Hopefully, some of it sells!

Patience

The girls hopped up on the fence and waited their turn while cousin Madison rode the pony. I thought they looked so cute with their pigtails and that rail fence I just had to take their picture. And this line of paper by We Are Memory Keepers is a perfect color match!

Right now......

I am allowed to post that I have won a spot on the Scraptivity! design team for a year!! Hooray, I am so excited about this. And this layout was one of our challenges, we had to use inchies. Little one inch squares that are painted, embellishes etc.

This is a photo of the girls and I at White Point Beach.

Bellarific Friday entry

Here is my take on the Bellarific Friday sketch from Bloggabella. I used prismacolor pencils to color the image, stickles on the wings and glossy accents on all hearts (hard to see in the scan). But I just love this little car, every time Charlotte sees one driving down the road she says "Mom, look, it's a mini-beetle"
